Chances are good that you’ve interacted with Amana in your travels.
Their portable terminal air conditioners (PTACs) are staples in hotel rooms all over the world. Amana approached Ivor Andrew because they needed a name and branding for their latest line of PTACs, which allowed hotel owners to easily and remotely regulate room temperatures hotel-wide. This management system results in saved time and bonus energy savings.

We came up with a single word that fit the product line like a glove: EDEN.
The word is synonymous with perfection and paradise, which sums up what hotel owners want their guests to feel in their rooms. The first E is treated differently than the DEN, speaking to the digital nature of the product and the den-like feel that’s created.
